I will be show what programs have been beneficial for me with sending large files over the internet.
Here are my top 5 ways you can send large files over the internet.
Number 1
For all of you apple users, you may have heard of this one before.
- Airdrop
This is an amazing feature to use between apple devices, seeing as there is no file size limit. You could theoretically send 1000 photos, and 1000 videos at the same time…although it may take a while, it would work.
You would have to be in the same room as the individual but once you pick the files then you would just click on airdrop and find their name. Just like how it shows down below.

Number 2
The next one that we are going to talk about is going to be
- Google Drive
Good drive is great because it is stored in your own personal cloud storage. You have the ability to control permissions for users by file folder if desired. The only downfall is that Google Drive has a limited amount of storage of only 15 GBS per user, when you signup for a Google Account. You can access your files anywhere and anytime you would like. If you need some more storage, plans are always available for purchase.
You would upload the file you would want to send someone and share it with them.

Number 3
Next,
- Dropbox
Dropbox also is a personal cloud storage service. The only difference between Dropbox and Google Drive is that Dropbox only gives 2GBS of free storage instead of the 15GB that Google Drive does. You can access your files anywhere and anytime you would like. If you need some more storage, plans are always available for purchase.

Number 4
The second last options that I would recommend is :
- OneDrive
This cloud storage is offered by Microsoft. OneDrive is probably one of the most popular storages among student, teachers, and other university/college staff. The only downfall that I can find with the OneDrive is that it only offers 5 GBS of free storage when you sign up for a free account. If you need some more storage, plans are always available for purchase. Plans start as low as $1.99 a month for 100 GBS.

Number 5
Last but not least…..Number 5 will be…..
- Wetransfer
This website would allow you to send files or folder with a maximum size of 2 GBS, the nice thing about this website is that you are able to type in the individuals email that you want to send the files to, fill out all of the other necessary information, and don’t need to do anything else.
